The resort lies at an altitude of 1,650 metres. It stands in the mountain pass between the valleys of Beaufortain and Val-d’Arly. It is 32 km from the Lyons to Albertville and Bourg-en-Bresse to Sallanches highways and can also be reached by train (the TGV to Albertville Station) then shuttle service or taxi.
On arriving at the resort it is impossible to remain indifferent to the authentic charm of the chalets and neighbouring farms as well as the sheer beauty of the landscapes of the Beaufortain and Aravis mountains.
The Les Saisies resort is acclaimed for the quality of its snow coverage and its panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It is also reputed for its Olympic Nordic skiing ground, its snowshoeing circuits and – for the last three years – its 185 kilometres of its “Espace Diamant” (Diamond Space) Alpine skiing slopes. With its 15,000 beds it is today one of France’s top medium-sized ski resorts.
Les Saisies is a busy commercial hub. It has all sorts of shops, numerous restaurants, a two-screen cinema and, for relaxing after a day’s skiing, a discotheque, snow scooter track, adventure park, bars, and bodycare outlets. >Download the Les Saisies Winter Planorama |
